This is a true Cone 10 Test Kiln. Unlike most test kilns, the GlazeTech is designed to run on 240V but still only requires a 20Amp breaker. This gives us the power we need to design a truly useful chamber size. It's square design makes it perfect to fire test tiles on multiple levels, and with it's 14" square x 9" depth you can actually test short cylinders to see how your glaze performs on a vertical surface. The rod length is 4" and the point to point span is 2.75". The H Series Stilts are designed for heavier wares that need inner support. These stilts are composed of high temperature clay that can be fired to 2400F. They withstand repeated firings and rugged treatment. The points are made of the finest metal alloys. #500 Commercial Grade Kaowool is produced from high purity fibres and organic binders in a unique paper making process. It has excellent tensile strength and outstanding handling characteristics. This paper is more like felt than paper. Can be cut with scissors to create raised patterns under slumped glass and as a masking agent or heat shield in ceramics. Net Wt. is .19 lbs. per 12" square.
